Overtime
Federal law and specifically, the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, requires employers to pay their non-exempt employees, one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked per week in excess of 40 hours.
This is a complex statute with a number of exemptions and qualifications.
