James A. Cancel Ramírez was born on Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. James completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. From the time James was a young boy James always aspired to become a voice for people who needed help, and for that reason, James pursued a career as an attorney.
James studied law at the prestigious Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico where he completed his Juris Doctor degree and graduated with honors. Additionally, James received the Mons. Fremiot Torres Oliver Award in 2016 for his exceptional work and service to the San Juan community.
